stars and stripes...to remember or not to remember

...everytime we did our evening strolls at Frisco Bay (San Francisco Bay) during the eighties, my friend Brad Yeoh will read out loud this poem that I could memorise until these days:

I used to admire the land of Flowery
Flag as a country of abundance.
I immediately raised money and started my journey.
For over a month, Ihave experienced enough wind and waves....
I looked up and see Oakland so close by....
Discontent fills my belly and it is difficult for me to sleep.
I just read out loud these few lines to express what is on my mind.

Frequent visits to the B's @ 9th Street, Oakland, CA just to finish up two servings of CREAMY MAPLE MOUSSE + a cup of hot lemon tea during summer of the eighties will makes me wonder of stars and stripes...to remember or not to remember...

HAPPINESS MAY BE THE GREATEST PRIZE, BUT PLEASURE COMES A CLOSE SECOND. IT ALSO LENDS ITSELF TO MANY DIFFERENT APPROACHES, INCLUDING THE WAYS IN WHICH PEOPLE OBTAIN IT, THE BRAIN MECHANISMS THAT UNDERPIN IT, AND THE HAZARDS OF OVER-INDULGENCE.

ART GIVES US PLEASURE BECAUSE OF OUR BELIEF. WE BELIEF ART CAN BE A FORM OF THERAPY.
